CHUM is an 800-bed university hospital and a recognized centre of excellence in rheumatology. Christian Jorgensen heads the clinical unit of Immuno-rheumatology and is Director of the Institute for Regenerative Medicine located at the hospital. He is member of the EULAR, the American Society for Rheumatology (ACR) and is a member of Inserm’s Scientific Council. He was the coordinator of ADIPOA, an FP7 project dedicated to a MSC based clinical trial in osteoarthritis. He is coordinator of the French network ECELLFRANCE dedicated to translational program in stem cell based therapy. As a member of the ADIPOA consortium, CHUM have been sponsors of clinical programmes for osteoarthritis.
