The Evangelisches Waldkrankenhaus Spandau, Berlin (EWK), is the largest charitable hospital of Berlin and academic hospital of the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. The EWK has a clinical trial unit specialized on the execution of cell-based therapeutical strategies along with a specialized unit dealing with regulatory affairs.
Prof. Nöth is Chairman of the Dept. for Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery at EWK.
Dr. Rackwitz serves as Chief of the Joint Replacement, Rheumatology and Regenerative Medicine Division at EWK. T Both have a comprehensive experience in the design and realization of phase I and II clinical trials utilizing cell-based strategies for the treatment of cartilage diseases. Prof. Nöth served as the workpackage leader oft the clinical trial Phase I in ADIPOA I.
